Job description

We are seeking a part-time Sales Associate for Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Hours typically range between 10:00am through 7pm.

This is not an entry level position.

The successful professional candidate will have:

Availability on ALL three days (Friday, Saturday & Sunday).

No conflicting “prior commitments”.

Reliable transportation & good personal hygiene.

At least 2 years professional retail/sales (brick & mortar shop) experience.

A consistent positive attitude/ happy disposition.

Must be comfortable working with a team as well as confidently working alone.

Outgoing/extroverted personality comfortable acquiring product knowledge, selling products and communicating with customers in a professional manner.

The ability to sweep, dust, (during down time) bend, reach, climb on two step ladder for merchandise. This is an active position, where sales and customer assistance is top priority and there is always busy work to be done. It is not a stationery cashier position.

Must be over 18 years of age as the candidate may be working alone on a shift.

Professional responsibility, maturity, and reliability is essential to blend well with our existing sales team.

Starting Wage is $15.75/hour.

The weekend experience is busy, fun, full of hustle and bustle. Candidate must be able to have a pleasant manner, be accurate when ringing up sales, know the balance of being friendly, professional, but not too chatty as there are usually plenty of customers who will need tending to and/or plenty of work to be done. Comfortable, casual attire is the norm in our shop. Creativity in attire is always enjoyed so long as there is no political, religious, etc. offense made. We keep it casual, professional and fun.
