High school diploma or equivalent. Basic office & keyboarding skills with the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM and the ability to use designated reference materials and office equipment (i.e. computer, printer, fax, calculator, etc.) required. Successful completion of a Medical Terminology Course desired. Previous Physician office or registration experience desired. Complete understanding of Point of service collections; specifically, must understand why it is necessary and must be able to effectively communicate this to Sturgis Hospital’s patient community. Requires the ability to utilize good judgment and maintain one’s composure in stressful situations. Requires the basic math skills needed to successfully balance cash drawer and calculate the amount due on self-pay patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.10 - $20.15 per hour
