The Patient Service Representative is the captain of scheduling. Primarily telephonic, this role is responsible for ensuring that the patient has an excellent experience scheduling services at Tru Medical. The Patient Service Representative will communicate with patients and caregivers to ensure they are provided the most accessible care.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Make appropriate and timely patient appointments, confirmations, and appointment reminders
  • Notify all appropriate departments of data related patient case updates
  • Outreach to patients’ providers and input appointments
  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information
  • Confirms and schedule appointments
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Performs certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments
  • Adhere to the standards identified in Tru Medical's policies.
  • Cooperate with other Tru Med employees to achieve specific team goal

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare or customer service-related experience
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college
  • 2+ years of experience working in medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, insurance verification
  • Solid working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare landscape
  • Knowledge of Eclinicalworks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Computer proficiency to include typing, data entry, internet research, and spelling accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to act independently with minimum supervision
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.53 - $22.31 per hour
