We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our Scheduling Team.

The Scheduling Team is the gateway to our patient’s healthcare experience within our busy surgical group. This team provides a variety of services which include, phone scheduling and pre-registering patients for clinics and imaging centers, insurance authorizations, referral management, community services and surgery scheduling services.

This role is a critical piece to a successful medical practice, and we do not overlook the fact they are demanding and stressful at times as well. This position involves increased contact on the phone and online with customers and providers. Attention to detail and utilizing multiple applications simultaneously are equally important skills.

This is a 4 day a week position, with no weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Supports an exceptional experience through all customer interactions, ensuring professional, timely and accurate communication - both verbally and in writing.
• Supports a perspective payment program by communicating organization policies, financial options, explaining insurance coverage/non-coverage.
• Utilize a variety of technology, tools, and resources to support departmental workflows.
• Performs one of the following workflows with attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency:

• Receiving incoming phone calls
• Patient Registration
• Scheduling
• Referral Coordination
• Order Transcription
• Pre-Authorization
• Benefit Verification

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year relevant experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: None'
