The University of South Alabama’s department of Payroll Accounting is seeking to hire a Payroll Clerk IV. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Runs various error reports and utilizes Microsoft Excel to review electronic personnel action forms, FLAC, and Concur-Payroll.
- Provides back up with completion of audits or retirement applications requesting from Teachers’ Retirement System.
- Assists with researching, analyzing, and resolving prior pay issues.
- Provides back up for auditing, entering, and checking time sheets, applying Personnel policies related to time and attendance.
- Communicates with employees by telephone and in person concerning wages, taxes, and deductions and explains gross to net variances.
- Assists in training payroll personnel in use of Banner system.
- Covers other areas of responssibility during absences.
- Ensures confidentiality of employee information
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
