SUMMARY

Will assist the Accounting team in ensuring compliance and the accurate processing of all aspects of the Association’s payroll.
PAY RANGE: $26.44-$31.25
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Process weekly and/or biweekly multi-state payroll utilizing in-house UKG software
Process levies, liens and any other garnishments
Process manual checks
Process payroll reports
Process union benefit invoices
Assist with payroll journal entries
Prepare payroll-related general ledger account reconciliations
Assist with year end reconciliation
Perform payroll bank account reconciliation
Provide excellent customer service to employees

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting degree OR at least 2 years of experience processing all aspects of a multi-state payroll

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of UKG software preferred
  • Prior experience working with union payroll preferred
  • Understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong customer-service ethic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Have an analytical problem-solving thought process to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to see recognize patterns in data and trace or reconstruct transactions. Ability to take independent actions using intuition and experience to complement data. Can adapt to changes in the work environment. Ability to look for ways to improve process and quality.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No Supervisory Responsibilities. However, the position will be responsible for the successful completion of the payroll process and reconciliation which will include monitoring the balancing and data entry processes.
