JOB SUMMARY:
- DPT degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Active Virginia State Licensure in good standing.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with the pediatric population as a Physical Therapist preferably in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the ability to determine medical necessity based on informal assessment measures.
- Basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, Internet, Electronic Medical Records, etc).
- Reliable transportation.
- Completion of Background Check.
- Negative TB Test.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status.
- Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children within the outpatient clinic program.
- Documentation within the practice’s electronic medical record.
- Maintain communication with the child’s primary physician and other healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, or other forms of communication.
- Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology/adaptive equipment as needed, provide written justification, and coordinate the purchase of equipment for a child with the family, team members, service coordinator, and other allied professionals.
- Participate in program development activities in collaboration with other team members and management.
- Participate in trainings and staff meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
