Job description

We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant to work in a household setting. The ideal candidate must have an understanding of Progressive Care and an active interest in helping people age in place, as well as have formal training in home health care, geriatrics and/or adult care. The Personal Care Assistant will be helping clients with all aspects of their daily lives including dressing, bathing, showering and grooming.

Responsibilities:

• Safely assist an elderly person with walking, bathing, grooming, and other daily activities.
• Aid in the operation of a motorized wheelchair or motorized scooter.
• Assist an elderly person with the administration of medications or treatments.
• Maintain accurate records of an elderly person's medications and treatments.
• Assist an elderly person's activities of daily living; for example, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
• Transfer an elderly person from bed to a chair or vice versa.
• Assist an elderly person to use a safety device such as a bed alarm, call bell, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
