Job Duties
1.Properly identifies patient according to policy, draws blood samples, labels specimens and sends to laboratory for analysis.
2.Maintains records of tests performed and samples taken.
3.Generates patient collection lists and labels, ensures the correct test are collected by using inquiry mode, verifying collection of all specimens, and labels STATS with stickers.
4.Checks collection batches and overdue lists frequently and ensures that all orders are promptly collected.
5.Performs special tests to include clotting time, bleeding time and glucose tolerance tests as needed and reports results.
6.Inventories supplies, equipment and requisitions as needed.
7.Stocks workstation with necessary supplies.

Visual Requirements: No special vision requirements

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
