A Part-Time Physical Education Teacher is needed to teach a variety of classes one day per week. The physical education teacher shall feel comfortable working in a collaborative model where teachers, therapists, and classroom teachers work together to meet student needs. The teacher will be responsible for set up and clean up of all equipment and activities throughout the day. The teaching schedule is part-time and will be determined based on program needs. If interested, qualified applicants can fulfill the duties of a paraprofessional for the remainder of the work week.

Position Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
• Valid New Jersey DOE Certification as Teacher of Health and Physical Education

Hawkswood School runs a 12-month program (July 1 - June 30).

Previous experience with the multiply disabled and/or autism population is preferred.
