About us:

At Atidaynu - Our Future School, our aim is to assist children with autism in overcoming their social and behavioral challenges by providing them with the necessary life skills to navigate through life. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student and includes direct social skills intervention, intensive language lessons, and academic instruction. We integrate an ABA approach and provide a structured classroom environment to ensure that students with autism receive the maximum benefits from our program.

Responsibilities:

• Aiding staff in assessing students within their educational setting. In addition, our teachers will go to you for consultation on any matters to do with the programs.
• You will be developing individualized programs for students to utilize at home and in their daily school environment.
• We take an ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) approach with our students. All staff (teachers, paraprofessionals, and providers) are trained in Discrete Trial Training (DTT), data collection, program design, social skills training, and positive behavior management.
• All staff attend annual training about autism spectrum disorder.

Qualifications:

• New York State Certified in PT
• Masters in Physical Therapy
• We require previous experience working in the special needs community.
• You must have an interest in working with students with Special Needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM.
• We offer a summer program which is included in the salary.
• In addition to our regular hours, we also offer an after-school program until 5:00pm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
