Essential Duties and Tasks

• Maintain a clean work area at all times
• Comply with safety standards at all times
• Assist in the installation, repairs and maintenance of utilities, traffic signs etc..
• In learning capacity, operates and maintains a variety of light and heavy equipment including excavator, loader, skid steer, compactor and hand tools.
• Assists in the performance of major and minor repairs to equipment used in the course of duties
• Lifts, moves and carries heavy objects.
• Performs pick and shovel work in digging, widening and back filling trenches and assisting in the maintenance and repair of water and sewer lines.
• In a learning capacity, maintains, repairs and installs water mains, water service, water pumping equipment, fire hydrants and related equipment.
• Perform all duties assigned by Crew leader
• Perform equipment repair and maintenance work orders.
• Assist with administrative tasks.
• Note: Job will require person(s) to sit for extended periods of time, be able to move/ have the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on occasion, reach, grasp, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and squat, adhere to natural weather conditions both inside and outside.

Safety

• Promote, execute and adhere to the company s safety program, and encourage all employees, to adopt safety as a culture.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
• Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company s Safety Program.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.20 - $26.74 per hour
