Plant Safety Specialist
Job Description:
This role will be at a medium sized nutritional food manufacturing facility. We are searching for someone that will focus on developing and implementing safety, health, and environmental initiatives throughout the plant.
This site hasn't had a recordable incident for over 4 years now and plans on continuing to improve safety procedures. 60% of the role will be geared towards safety, 25% environmental, and the other 15% will be health related.
The site uses SafeStart principles, so these programs and procedures are already set in place, you'll be completing and improving them.
You'll be working with the production team onsite to help improve overall processes ensuring that safety is the number one priority. You'll also be working with agencies to complete permits, follow regulations, and be compliant with federal and local laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. Engineering, Science, Business, others will be considered as well
- 4+ years manufacturing experience
- Background out of chemicals, foods, high speed production, or closely related
- Must have a strong background in safety, pluses would be environmental and health
- Experience with some of the following: PSA, HAZOP, Machine Safety, Industrial Hygiene, LOTO, Confined Space, and permitting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
