Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Principal Product Manager at Hoag is entrepreneurial-minded. Our mission is to revolutionize the delivery of healthcare in our community and beyond. The Principal PM has a passion for web & mobile app experiences and brings analytical rigor to the team. Responsible for the strategy and vision for our digital experiences & products within defined personas, this Principal role works closely with Design and Engineering teams, along with stakeholders across the organization to deliver experiences and products that shape the future of Hoag.
- With Accountability and oversight over multiple pods, the Principal PM will partner with the Director of Product to lead the end-to-end delivery for multiple digital products, from research, strategy, concept development all the way through to implementation and launch.
- A successful track record of leading Lean Agile teams focused on researching, ideating, and delivering great solutions that solve real customer needs is required.
- Ability to think strategically about business goals and outcomes, using data to inform decisions.
- Evangelize the vision and maintain stakeholder alignment with Executives and other leaders across our organization via established roadmaps to bring the digital team and stakeholders along for the journey.
- Contribute to the development of a world-class product team by providing leadership and mentorship to the team Product Managers.
- Contribute to the cultivation of a culture centered on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), delivering incremental value each sprint while sizing contributions against defined objectives.
- Demonstrated ability with experimentation and associated engagement tools to enable and mature the feedback loop within the test/measure/learn experimentation framework.
- Advocate for a user-centered and data-informed product development approach and drive the adoption of best practices across the team and organization. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 10-12 years of product management experience within leading consumer products and/or healthcare technology organizations required.
- Experience delivering enterprise level employee and consumer facing mobile and web applications, familiarity with user experience and interactive design best practices required.
- Experience planning, managing, and leading complex technology projects in a high-paced, fast-changing work environment, leading the team through issue resolution during the entire development lifecycle required.
- Proven ability to write detailed business requirements intended for software engineering, UI/UX design, and track record of working with engineering/design to create technology solutions required.
- Ability to collaborate with software engineering teams to reduce technical debt, introduce new technologies, and migrate to new architectures required. Excellent meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
- Experience using lean Agile development methodologies and familiarity using JIRA/Confluence to document business requirements and organizing work into Epics, User Stories with Acceptance Criteria.
