Job Overview

• In coordination with Division Chief(s) and Directorate Technology Advisory Council develops tech-base vision and strategic plan for the Processing & Exploitation (PEX) CTC. Advises Division Chief(s) and Directorate Technology Advisory Council on direction, quality, health, and requirements of PEX CTC
• Leads team with Division/Branch Chiefs, Scientists and Engineers to define and develop S&T strategies and programs to ensure future Air Force mission superiority in the PEX technology domain
• Maintains awareness of all CTC programs (internal and external), user requirements, and participates in strategic planning activities affecting the PEX portfolio to include the AF Scientific Advisory Board CTC review, Laboratory Management Reviews (LMRs), off-sites, customer interactions, technical conferences, work groups, etc.
• Applies substantial depth of analysis, expert knowledge, and mastery of advanced scientific or engineering methods, theories, and standards to ensure CTC programs are correctly aligned and leveraged to further advances in processing and exploitation to support the RI Strategy, AF S&T 2030, Global Integrated ISR (GIISR) Core Function Support Plan (CFSP), and other strategic guidance
• Serves as Primary Technical Point of Contact and represents the CTC to visiting VIPs, industry, and academia and end users
• Partners with internal and external customers such as AF Futures, AFOSR, AFLCMC, MAJCOMs, other DoD/IC services/agencies and international partners
• Reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations on new technology innovations, new program approaches, and current technical program achievements
• Engages with AFWERX to maximize the CTC’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) opportunities
• Coordinates CTC Statement of Capabilities (SOC) requests for external programs alignment and transitions capability to operational forces as appropriate
• Mentors both technical researchers and technical program managers

Required Qualifications

• United States Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
• This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing
• This is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) critical position requiring Level III Certification in Science and Technology Manager (STM). The selectee will have 24-months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained. *Applicants must list all completed APDP certifications and status of acquisition corps membership on their resume.
• Travel and/or performance of additional duties may be required.
• A bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline.
