Production Lead

Position: Major Tasks This position is member of the Site Leadership Team supporting field operations. The Production Lead has leadership responsibility for the site Production Managers, Production Associates and is expected to get results through high personal proficiency, delegation of tasks, coordinating the work of others, developing/coaching others, developing the team and collaborating regionally to innovate and improve processes. The production lead is expected to cover site leadership duties during his/her absence Create and support a safety-first culture in the site. Demonstrate and promote a safe culture at all times. Key Metric – IRR (or an appropriate metric directed by Bayer ESH leadership) Responsible for a team of individuals and/or processes at a site in the NA region. Operate in a manner that supports the leader of the site and ensures site personnel fulfill the business goals of the site. Accountable for safe and timely delivery of qualitysupply based on production schedules while maintaining an efficient operation. Support overall site Key Metrics to include Safety; Quality, and cost efficiency. Optimize people performance and actively develop team members through mentoring, coaching, training, recognition, creation of progression plans, appraisals/reviews, discipline, documentation, follow-up, and providing developmental opportunities Responsible for creation of site level budgets & facility plans Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify key cost leverages, Create KPIs, track metrics, and use data/analytics to drive improved site performance Lead projects outside site responsibility and work collectively with peer sites and across functions Actively engage and seek to be face of site with internal stakeholders and externally within the community Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and Freedom to Operate requirements Position: Skills,... Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, agriculture. • Valid Drivers’ License (meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers in order to be eligible to drive a company car) – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening. • Ability to critically think about the business.
