Job Summary:

Employee is to learn to provide complex nursing and healthcare to one patient as well as physical, educational, social, and case management support in lovely Coppell home. The care is to be provided for a beautiful 27-year-old medically fragile young lady. The work environment is a positive, safe place that is clean, esthetically pleasing, well-stocked, and organized. In this dynamic environment, the dedicated employee must be caring, reliable, and able to work well with patient, other staff coming to home as well as patient's team of outside providers. Some lifting required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to include personal hygiene, routine medication administration and procedures, daily physical exercise to support therapies, and safe transfers to/from wheelchair, Also, will give educational and sensory stimulation, help with case management and other supportive tasks as assigned (including laundry, phone calls, errands, and light housekeeping).
  • Must be a team player including willing to fill in another employee shift on occasion.
  • Learn baseline of patient and report changes in the patient's condition promptly when she requires support. Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Must be extremely supportive and respectful to patient and her family.
  • Practice infection control principles.
  • Provide a clean, safe and positive environment that promotes respect and support for patient, privacy and property.
  • Willing to help monitor supplies and medications, keep them organized, unload to storage and order as required.
  • Give the patient proper medications, medical treatments, nutrition and adequate fluid intake after trained, as prescribed by physicians as outlined in care plan and trained to provide.
  • Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency, as well as willing to learn new tasks and information.
  • Comfortable handling bodily fluids of patient.
  • Able to work independently with efficiency after being given training and instructions following through until task completed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
