Summary of Position

Bonafide seeks a full-time Program Associate to help support goals to grow and expand the program’s resources and support. This position is well-suited for a project-oriented person who likes to interact with various people and who has at least two to five years of experience in reentry from incarceration. The position will include managing phone calls, coordinating welcome pickups from prison, and other reentry duties.

The ideal candidate will have at least mid-level experience in managing projects. They will also have an experienced understanding of the prison system and transitional and sober living housing. They will have a flexible schedule with irregular and on-call hours. They will communicate with probation and parole officers and build relationships with transitional housing and other organizations to best support our returning community members.

Location

This position will work from home but require some in-office work, in-person activities in the San Francisco Bay Area, and occasional travel. Applicants should have access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Program Assistance

  • Assist in building out Bonafide program activities and community support.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment management
  • Schedule and manage gate pickups
  • Manage communication, including letters and phone calls from currently incarcerated individuals
  • Data entry and management using various programs
  • Supplies tracking
  • Backpack assembly and distribution
  • Build relationships with and support newly released/formerly incarcerated individuals as they take successive steps in their reintegration.
  • Phone activation for newly released people
  • Manage relationships with probation, parole, and transitional environments
  • Update reentry resources
  • Storytelling
  • Other duties as required

Salary

Full-time at $70,000/yr plus benefits.
