Job description
Responsibilities*
This position will work directly with the Program Manager of the Office of Engaged Learning at the University of Michigan-Flint. The focus of this position is to support, foster, implement, and enhance Democratic Engagement at UM-Flint.
Some Major Projects would include, but are not limited to:
- Voter registration drives
- Voter education
- Debate Watch Parties
- Work with various Democratic initiatives (For example, the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, Campus Vote Project, etc.)
Required Qualifications*
- Applicants must be enrolled as a student at UM-Flint for the full academic year
- Experience and familiarity with voter engagement, voter registration, local and federal election processes, etc.
- Experience with hosting events
- Able to work independently as well as in teams
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and the ability to develop other computer skills as needed
- Able to work a flexible schedule that will meet the needs of the department for events
- Knowledge of student clubs and organizations
Work Schedule
- Approximate 15 per week
- This is an on campus position
- $15/hour
Background Screening
