POSITION TITLE: Program Coordinator
LOCATION: Stilly Valley Health Connections. 3405 173rd Place NE, Arlington, WA 98223
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
HOURS: 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
SALARY: Range: $54,500 to $72,180; Non-Exempt, Benefit eligible position

GENERAL DUTIES:
Primary responsibilities include the planning, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of programs and support services that fall within the Stilly Valley Health Connections strategic plan and areas of focus.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Program Development & Implementation
· Research, identify, and analyze community trends, needs, and conditions, and look for opportunities to implement new programs and support services, such as support groups.
· Identify if there are other agencies, organizations or educational opportunities that would support the new program and/or collaborate in program development. If none exist, create the curriculum and materials.
· Determine the structure of the program, how it will be presented, who will facilitate the program and put it into the program schedule. Create a program description.
· Participate in developing the marketing strategy to determine the best ways to reach the population that would benefit from the new program.
· Provide regular updates and feedback to management to ensure program alignment.
Program Coordination and Evaluation
· Schedule classes, presentations, workshops, classes, and support groups.
· Monitor participant rosters. Assist with participant sign-ups, answer questions, and contact participants as needed.
· Prepare rooms, equipment, and materials for programs, as needed.
· After program completion, review participant evaluations, as well as success of program, and look for improvement opportunities.
Grant Seeking and Reporting
· Identify funding opportunities and assist with or complete grant applications if requested.
· Assist with completing assessments and reporting requirements for grants and partners.
Community Engagement
· Build relationships with key community partners, stakeholders, and volunteers.
· Develop community awareness of and support for programs and services.
· Create positive working relationships with other organizations.
· Serve as a representative for Stilly Valley Health Connections as a speaker or representative for key community events.
· Serve, as needed, on committees, collaborations, or groups as a representative of Stilly Valley Health Connections.
Materials and Equipment Used
· General office equipment, which includes telephones, calculators, personal computers, copier, printer, and audio/visual equipment.
· Self-sufficient in various office software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Zoom, Eventbrite, Canva, and other computer-based programs as needed.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements
· Duties will be performed primarily in an office environment. An individual must be able to sit at a desk for four or more hours a day and have the manual and physical dexterity to handle paper documents, and operate office equipment, including phones and keyboards.
· Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Potential evening and weekend hours may be required based upon the needs of the business.
· Position requires some travel within the county using personal vehicle.
· May be required to lift – up to 25 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in business, public administration, social sciences, or other field directly related to human services OR any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides required knowledge and abilities.
· Experience working in health & human services, non-profit or government organizations preferred.
· Working knowledge and understanding of health behavior theories, practices, policies, partners, trends, and programs.
· Ability to exercise initiative, tact, discretion, and judgement in carrying out position responsibilities, work sensitivity with persons of various ages, positions, cultures, and backgrounds.
· Experience with program development, operation, and evaluation.
· Experience in developing curriculum or material used for training, public presentations and facilitating support groups.
· Experience in giving public presentations and facilitating trainings or support groups.
· Knowledge of grant writing methods, principles, and applications.
· Required to travel to meetings, conferences, and seminars. Must have access to reliable transportation.
