Kirkland Construction Group WA LLC is an Owner Builder & General Contractor headquartered in Vancouver WA managing over $170 million annually in construction & development projects located throughout the Portland Metropolitan Area and SW Washington. Since launching in 2002, The Kirkland team has created a comprehensive and diverse portfolio including luxury high-rise towers, hotels, multi-family, medical, retail, hospitality, industrial, and mixed-use projects. We are looking for a project engineer for a multi-family/condominium project in East Vancouver.

We are a privately held development/construction organization and are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Project Engineer position for a candidate that can jump in on day one and has the ability to work well with a team.

Job Description

You will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager and construction team with project specific tasks.

ยท Work with Project Manager on subcontracts and pay applications within Procore.

  • Obtain and check subcontractor pricing and assist in assembling change quotations as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining the project files, close-out and storage of documents at completion.
  • Working knowledge of the contract documents to include reviewing all drawings and specifications for design inconsistencies and conflicts.
  • Know and understand the subcontract documents as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Write field questions and expedite answers from Architect to allow the assigned components of the work to be fabricated and installed in the most efficient manner.
  • Assist in documenting changes, maintaining project record drawings and specifications.
  • Tracking Change Order Request and working with subcontractor to develop back up documentation that identify RFIs, ASI, or other Mods that lead to the COR. Compile and Review prior to submitting to the PM for their review and approval.
  • Buy out, quantity take offs, and estimating as it relates to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Utilize the project management system to expedite, review and approve submittals, FF&E and assigned tasks as permitted.
  • Distribute approved submittals to pertinent subcontractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $87,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
