Maintenance Coordinator Position
We are looking for an organized, practical, and driven Maintenance Coordinator to help make sure the Maintenance Department runs at an optimal level. It is important that this person cause a steady flow of throughput for maintenance work and projects, keeping the team efficient and effective by determining which project is most urgent, and creating priorities and deadlines for getting the work done. This role is critical to maintaining a positive relationship with both our homeowner and guest clients.
Responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day operations for the Maintenance Department
- Schedule all maintenance work, labor, and resources throughout the day
- Develop time-frames and drive deadlines with the Team
- Communicate and schedule contractors/vendors to get work completed
- Communicate and coordinate with homeowners to schedule repairs and fixes
- Assist Techs with problem-solving homeowner client issues to come up with the best solutions
- Keep Maintenance Department running smoothly
- Take accurate notes and records
- Mandate Techs document and enter all pertinent information
- Consistent interaction and communication with Techs throughout the day
- Must have good follow-up and follow-through with a sense of urgency and closure
- Communication and coordination with Guest Services and Housekeeping teams
- General office work
Expectations of this Role
- Will complete a working interview, spending about 2 weeks in the field, then 2 weeks coordinating
- Trust and seek out the Tech-s superior experience and knowledge
- This is not a remote job, must be in the office 5 days a week 8:00-5:30 (6:00 during prime season)
- Must be willing and able to cover a tech-s shift in the field
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must always check-in with techs at end of day to make sure they have everything they need
- Must cover on-call up to 2-3 nights per week
- Must have basic maintenance knowledge
- Must be detailed oriented and have extraordinary follow-through & follow-up skills
- Must have extraordinary communication skills (most importantly, the ability to shut up and listen) - be able to effectively communicate with a wide range of personalities.
- Must work very well with all members of the entire Bennington team, especially housekeeping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
