This position is responsible for the management of the business development department to prepare, coordinate and successfully submit project proposals in a deadline-driven environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge - Marketing strategies and branding to develop business.
  • Knowledge - Engineering Industry and the different procurement methods and Process of responding to RFQs/RLIs/RFPs or similar
  • Knowledge - Client Resource Management (CRM) to streamline Business Development.
  • Skills - Excellent communication, verbal and technical writing (writing samples required).
  • Skills - Developing presentations and achieving effective presentation delivery.
  • Skills - Networking and building productive internal/external relationships
  • Abilities – Lead and Initiate developing business by building relationships with other BD Coordinators and engineering Pursuit Managers in the industry.
  • Abilities - Work effectively in an environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Able to understand and comply with RFP/RLI requirements - Lead the response in coordination with Pursuit Manager.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead and improve Strategy for company Branding (including Social Media), Business Development, Corporate BD Strategic Planning.
  • Oversees staff and prioritizes the functions of the business development department to achieve the goals for the department/company.
  • Prioritize and manage workload while working as part of the BD team to get the overall work of the BD Department completed,
  • Lead and improve EAC’s BD processes, systems and policies, including the Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Lead and improve the maintenance of marketing materials including resumes, project descriptions, photographs, etc.
  • Identify and represent EAC at key industry events that furthers our BD strategy
  • Leads the identification, sourcing and tracking of potential Business Development opportunities in line with the firm’s services and geographic objectives.
  • Lead the strategy and development of content for proposals and presentations based on input and guidance from Department Managers and BD Leaders.
  • Lead Compliance and QC reviews to ensure on-time submittals of the highest quality that win.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically 10 years or more experience in business development with a minimum of five (5) years’ in a management role.
  • Proficiency with CRM programs and achieve proficiency with EAC’s CRM within six months of hire date.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; or understanding that basic knowledge and use of these are needed within six months of hire date.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
