Psychiatric APRN

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking per diem Psychiatric APRNs to join our behavioral healthcare team at Concord Hospital. The schedule for this position is per diem on weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admissions and discharges relating to the 15-bed voluntary inpatient unit.
• Participate in hospital rounds to consult on psychiatric situations on med/surg floors and in the emergency room.
• Suggest treatment plan changes including medication recommendations for patients.
• Discuss patients who may need referral for additional behavioral health care and advise on treatment plans during the transition period to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) of the hospital to document patient information, referrals or other relevant information as required.
• Adhere to all compliance procedures relevant to protected health information (PHI) and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain communication flow in relevant e-mail systems.
• Participate in consult meetings as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• Active NH APRN license is required.
• Board certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or Clinical Nurse Specialist required.
• Valid DEA certificate with prescriptive authority is required.
• Experience with inpatient behavioral health is preferred.
• Experience treating patients with diverse clinical profiles and clinical co-morbidities is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain clinical privileges at Concord Hospital is required.

This is a per diem position with a competitive pay rate.
