Come be apart of Unity House of Troy’s new ACT Program, as a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary mobile treatment team.

The Nurse Practitioner will offset the MD hours.

Provide psychiatric and medical assessment.

Provide treatment as needed.

Oversee medication administration.

Oversee psychiatric/medical treatment.

Oversee and provide education/training of the team members.

Promote a culture of inclusion and diversity.

Requirements:

Certified and registered as a Nurse Practitioner by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to practice as an NP in New York. NP License must be current. Certified specialty with Psychiatric classification required with at least one-year experience working with mental health/substance abuse. Prescription authorized and DEA number. Must have a valid NYS driver License, reliable transportation and acceptable driving record as determined by company liability insurance.

Unity House is a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling. We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays.
