Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Dormont

• Start Date: July 1
• Hours: Two days/week, flexible on days/times
• Hourly Rate: $25-35/hour
• Children: One 5-year-old
• Pets: 1 Dog
• Paid Vacation: one week of the family's choice, one week of the nanny's choice, 2 sick or personal days and any major holiday that falls on a workday

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Attention all non-morning people! Here’s a superb part-time role that lets you enjoy a later start plus keeps all your evenings free. This easygoing and calm family of three (plus one excellently trained 50 lbs rescue dog) is looking for a specialized nanny. You’ll be their helping hand on Mondays and Wednesdays 10 am-6 pm, and on Fridays from noon-6 pm. Dad works from home, and Mom is a stay-at-home parent to their five-year-old daughter. That’s where you come in, serving as another trusted partner to bring this sweet young lady out of her shell; she’s very hesitant to speak around unfamiliar adults. Once you pierce through her guarded exterior, you’ll quickly find the daughter is sweet, smart, and goofy. Together, you’ll enjoy imaginary play, make crafts, and undertake other creative projects. You’ll also use letters and numbers to encourage her to vocalize thoughts and feelings. You’ll need to be able to swim, drive, and it’s preferred but not necessary for you to have your own vehicle. You’ll help with washing bottles, meal prep, vacuuming, sweeping, and occasionally letting the dog out into the backyard. This is a magnificent opportunity for an experienced professional seeking to make a big difference without having full-time availability.
