E8 Engineering is working with a Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 50+ year foundation, our client supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.
Job Duties:
- Review First Article data packages IAW latest revision of AS9102
- Review Supplier submitted documentation for conformity to Purchase Order requirements, blueprint requirements, standards, specifications and processing requirements
- Interpret, demonstrate and explain issues to Supplier as needed
- Map notes and dimensional features on drawings via means of bubble drawing
- Report, identify and manage nonconforming or counterfeit material
- Work closely with various departments to ensure proper documentation is compliant
- Update and maintain accurate internal spreadsheets for managing and tracking departmental data
- Provide internal and external corrective action/notification when needed
- Build relationships with cross-functional groups to improve processes and resolve any issues
- Update/monitor SAP, per established processes, with detailed information and status
- Ensure established deadlines are being met
- Generate weekly metrics for management
- Manage various MEC and Supplier portals
- Perform audits as required or requested
- Manage various internal data bases
- Attend huddles and/or meetings as requested
- Other related duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- 2 years Aerospace experience, preferably with Quality Control
- Experience with reviewing and processing First Article Inspection (FAI) data IAW AS9102 latest revision
- Familiarity and comprehension of Product Assurance Provisions (PAP) clauses
- Ability to read and interpret drawing and specification requirements, with a general understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
- 2 years Bubble experience, preferably with BCT Inspector
- Ability to perform basic algebra
- ERP experience, preferably with SAP
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English well
- High School graduate diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
- Able to work with others and be a team player
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong organizational, written and communication skills
- Self-motivated and the ability to solve problems, make decisions and think outside of box
- Strong work ethic - meet deadlines, multitask, reliable, works well under pressure
- Available to work overtime, including Saturday
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs
