DEPARTMENT: Health Informatics



JOB SUMMARY: This position specializes in electronic health records including; implementation and ongoing support of the Tulalip Health Clinic Quality improvement and EHR epic applications. The duties involve serving as the manager for EHR best practices, consulting with multiple departments, service lines and staff in customizing software and training individuals in the daily operation of the EHR package as well as how EHR and other packages integrate with each other. Quality Manager also works with other application coordinators and users with responsibility for a broad range of activities surrounding the implementation of a comprehensive, standardized integrated health care information and epic system. Manage a team to identify technology needs and requirements of the Health Services. Create reports and participate in presentations to upper management to communicate progress. Responsible to manage quality improvement program for THS including but not limited to epic optimization. Collaborates with multiple department heads and managers for improving quality metrics, provider trainings, care outcomes, providing quality indicator report cards, validating data and helping leadership to use the data in a meaningful way for improving quality outcomes for health system. Supports departmental work by producing various reports for management.




COMPENSATION: $DOE



MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Informatics, Nursing or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.




MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE


  • Five (5) years’ experience in epic implementation practices, training in health systems, operation or maintenance of electronic health records, within a health care setting.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between groups; as effective member of organizational teams and in coordinating software implementation.





REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES


  • WA State Driver License.
  • Personal Automobile Insurance.
  • Certified Trainer with EPIC or EPIC informatics certification. *will allow One (1) year from start date to obtain.
  • HIPAA certification upon hire.
  • Must adhere to department’s vaccination policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.




TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
