Manage the facility Quality Management program. Coordinate and lead the facility's Infection Prevention and Control program.

  • Monitor and analyze QM data for review by facility management. Submit data to external agencies as required.
  • Conduct annual preparation and evaluation of the facility Quality plan.
  • Complete QM projects and incorporate the results into patient care improvements.
  • Ensure facility compliance with policies and applicable standards as required by regulatory/accrediting bodies.
  • Complete monthly safety rounds and submit results/corrective actions to Acadia corporate office.
  • Review incident/safety concerns with the leadership team to identify systemic issues and facilitate the development of corrective actions. Facilitate/oversee investigation and Root Cause Analyses into all serious and/or sentinel events.
  • Coordinate the abstraction of clinical data according to Joint Commission specifications and data entry via vendor database for Inpatient Psychiatric Core Measures (HBIPS).
  • Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections. Responsible for determining, preventing and containing infectious outbreaks within the facility.
  • Gather, interpret and accurately record data on all infections, notifying designated medical, administrative staff and appropriate health department authorities of all reportable communicable disease.
  • Monitor and update facility supervisors and staff on area specific policies, procedures and protocols important to infection prevention principles. Assess and re-enforce infection prevention practices.
  • Investigate all exposure incidents, oversee post-exposure evaluation and follow-up process.

Three or more years' experience in Quality Management required. Experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. Experience with TJC accreditation and regulatory audits preferred. One or more years' experience in infection control preferred.

Bachelors Degree in Nursing/Healthcare Required
