We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Quality Technician Supervisor within our Carthage, MO operation to help support our Automotive business. As a Quality Technician Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead and supervise Quality Technicians to ensure all final products are in accordance with customer and LPA quality requirements. Support and guide all areas in support of product quality and ensure continuous compliance of good manufacturing practices within the facility.

So, what will you be doing as a Quality Technician Supervisor?

• Operating, supervising, and monitoring of Quality Technician assigned quality assurance and testing of components from suppliers and/or manufactured/assembled products from LPA processes at different production steps using correct assigned equipment and prescribed techniques.
• Supervising the completion and reporting of sort and/or rework activities as required per work. instructions.
• Supervising the data collection, reporting and creation of quality reports if and as necessary according to direction from Quality Manager and/or Quality Engineering
• Supporting Quality Engineering in problem solving.
• Supporting on Compliances of quality, regulatory, and customer requirements, such as IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025, etc. Comply and enforce the team to comply with 6S standards and procedures.
• Supervising, controlling, and monitoring Quality technician's attendance (including vacation, overtime, time off, etc), shift change crossover communication, and be able to fill in the position when necessary.
• Ensuring that all Quality Technicians keep their knowledge up to date on product production processes and internal/customer requirements pertaining supplied and shipped products.
• Fulfilling responsibilities in Health & Safety as defined by legislation and the company H&S program. Support a safety-first approach maintaining a zero-accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention and safe working environment across the business.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent). College degree is desirable.
• At least three years’ experience within automotive manufacturing environment
• Good people and communication skills are essential (read, writing, and listening).
• Knowledge of problem-solving skills.
• Multi-tasking, math and metrology technical skills are also highly desirable.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
