Job Title: Recruiting Coordinator
Company Summary:
We are the headquarters of two franchises: Wallaby Windows and Koala Insulation. We started Koala Insulation in January 2020 and have grown to over 125+ locations since then- it's been extreme and wonderful growth. Wallaby Windows is our newest brand and officially launched for franchising as of January 2023. We anticipate the growth of Wallaby Windows to be even more explosive than Koala Insulation, which means we need more great people on our team. In terms of our long-term goals, we would like to build five total home services brands over the course of the next 2-5 years. This means there will be plenty of growth opportunity along the way!
Job Summary:
The Recruiting Coordinator will assist with Recruitment efforts by pre-screening and selecting suitable candidates for interview of our internal and franchisee positions. In this role, you will also assist with obtaining and recording HR information, maintaining the HRIS system, and assisting company employees with benefit enrollment procedures and general HR-related questions.
To ensure success as a Recruiting Coordinator, you should have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and a good understanding of HR best practices & general employment law. Ultimately, a top-notch Recruiting Coordinator is well organized, efficient, and approachable.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of human resources tasks, often focusing on recruitment, hiring, benefits & record management.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens candidates and selects qualified candidates for interviews.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process by conducting pre-screening interviews.
- Assists in managing HR records including, résumés, applicant communications, and employee forms.
- Assists with new employee onboarding, and employees who will be off-boarding.
- Issuing new employees with benefit enrollment documents & processes.
- Schedules employee orientations.
- Assists employees with benefit questions and reaches out to carriers and/or brokers on the employee’s behalf.
- Responding to HR-related queries within the company.
- Maintaining employee confidentiality.
- Assisting with the distribution of training material.
- Ensures compliance, by providing weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports to the HR Generalist via our HRIS and Payroll systems.
- Occasionally takes minutes for meetings.
- Other HR, Recruiting & admin related tasks & duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Should be fairly tech-savvy and have very good skills with general HRIS software, email, Microsoft Office and other general organizational systems or platforms.
- Has an approachable & professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help maintain our great culture here.
- Must be attentive, driven, ethical and honest.
- Great organizational skills.
- Should feel comfortable speaking in a group situation, as well as one-on-one with candidates, as well as independent franchisee owners.
Education and Experience:
- 2-4 years working in a Human Resources department as a Recruiting Coordinator, Recruiter, HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or HR Associate.
- Industry experience within construction trades or other home services is highly desirable.
- High School Diploma.
- Although assistance in recruitment will be a big part of this position, we are willing to train the right person that has a basic HR background and industry experience.
