Truck Scale OperatorChalmette, LA
PSC Group is now hiring a Truck Scale Operator to weigh tank trucks in and out of a refinery following all DOT regulations in Chalmette, LA. Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available. This is a full-time position with potential advancement opportunities.

Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)
Pay Range: $20.25 - $22.75 an hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Weighs tankers in and out of the facility per DOT regulations.
- Completes Basic Operator Training (BOT).
- Stays up-to-date on annual HAZCOMS (computer based Hazardous Communications Training).
- Maintains a working knowledge of the West Bulk Plant/Truck Scale's Normal and Emergency Procedures.
- Responsible for following all safety standards and assisting refinery in developing safer, more efficient procedures.
- Maintains and monitors the operation of loading racks and equipment according to OSHA and EPA guidelines.
- Performs pH reading and sends rainwater samples to the lab for first rain of month.
- Takes pH reading of rainwater during remaining days of month before pumping in to municipal drainage.
- Recordkeeping on Outfall 016.
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
- Processes empty and loaded weight for bulk shipments and deliveries.
- Processes paperwork related to bulk shipments and deliveries.
- Recordkeeping related to truck scales operations.
- Supervises loading and offloading of LPG and HVG according to set procedures and safety regulations.
- Line-up the West Bulk Plant for shipping to and/or receiving for LES.
- Monitor the liquid levels and pressure levels in the propane bullets.
- Assists in sampling of trailers.
- Recordkeeping related to shipments and deliveries of LPG and HVG.
- Performs light maintenance of bulk plant equipment-lubrication of valves and motors, repair ground cables and clamps, etc.
- Lock out/tag out of equipment.
- Keeps the West Bulk Plant litter free.
- Maintains Visitors log.
- Must possess a Valid TWIC Card & Driver's License
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
