Nye Lubricants Inc., a member of the Fuchs Group located in Fairhaven, MA, is a leader in the innovation, formulation and manufacturer of synthetic lubricants. Nye’s lubricants add value to products in a wide range of industries and applications.
Your areas of responsibility:
- The Regional Engineering Manager will be responsible for developing sales opportunities with new and existing customers for new and existing products using a consultative selling approach. Additionally, the REM will:
- Retain and enhance existing client relationships through building rapport and identifying current customer/ market demands, trends, and potential threats.
- Develop relationships and pursue new opportunities with engineers, purchasing, and manufacturing entities within key and new accounts.
- Determine customer requirements and provide solutions to meet or exceed expectations.
- Research existing and emerging markets, develop and implement campaigns for sales growth and success.
- Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Generate written documents including letters, quotes and other business documents to appropriate customers
- Investigate and attend company and industry training to enhance skills in the areas of key account management, technical knowledge, sales competencies, and company systems.
- Travel to and attend trade shows and industry specific conferences/ networking events.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a technical discipline. An MBA is preferred.
- 5+ years‘ technical sales experience required.
- Experience selling into the automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, and/ or medical industries are preferred.
- Proven technical accumen, including interacting with design engineers selling technical products/ materials
- High level of personal drive and self-motivation with strong time management skills.
- Ability to set day to day priorities within overall priority listing, working both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- Significant overnight travel up to 50% is expected.
