Summary: The Infrastructure Services department provides the tools and automation to store, organize and manipulate data while making that data easily retrievable. Various hardware and software tools, along with support, combine to enable these functions in a cost-effective method that helps to increase efficiency and accuracy.
The Regional System Support Specialist l installs, maintains and supports all IS related hardware and software. The Specialist may also recommend solutions that span their specific locations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide functional and technical support for the company’s employees
- Provide clear and cordial communication to internal and external customers
- Manage assets, uptime, and performance of networks, machines, and systems as assigned
- Ensure that standard company hardware and software is maintained and in working condition
- Ensure all requests are recorded and completed to customer satisfaction
- Document resolutions to requests for future reference
- Recognize and report developing trends in the support process and technologies
- Provide network support to BRM employees by partnering with BBNA infrastructure staff
- Set initial priority of requests ticketing system and assign appropriate resources
- Load and Maintain authorized software onto PCs
- Place requisitions for new hardware and software once approved
- Coordinate tasks with team members and give feedback in relation to assigned tasks
- Participate in and make recommendations during team meetings
- Collaborate with peers to understand and support new technologies deployed within BRM
- Travel required up to 5-10%
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant work experience including desktop support, network administration, and computer hardware support
- Proficient with PC and server management systems
- Networking, PC and server management systems experience (virtual servers a plus).
- Experience deploying and supporting O365.
- Experience in supporting multiple locations, users, computers and servers
- Experience with AD support and configuration
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
