JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our agency is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to our clients in the comfort and privacy of their own home. The qualified Registered Nurse (RN) must have excellent patient care, communication skills and commitment to deliver the highest quality of care to our clientele. The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) are but not limited to observation, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of nursing care plans for our clientele. Other duties may include educating patients and their families about proper treatments, administering prescribed medications, gastric tube, ventilator, and tracheostomy care.
**PLEASE NOTE:
- This patient is bed bound, non verbal and requires Total care.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Skilled Nursing services
- Assess client’s condition during every visit and chart your observations, and report any changes
- Perform evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication review
- Administer medication as prescribed by physician
- Dress and or redress open wounds and assess progress of healing
- Follow up with, executing, and properly documenting Dr.’s orders
- Educate clients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures
- Coordinate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians and anyone else involved in the client’s care plan
- Listen to the patient and respond to concerns or requests
- Abide by all Federal, State and Hospital laws, regulations and guidelines
- Following HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of client information
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Current State of Hawaii RN license
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
- Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology
- Flexible work schedule
