An opportunity has arisen to join our team of registrars. You will have proven experience of delivering high quality customer service, within a register office or similar setting.


Passionate about public service, you will have experience of working with a wide range of people, sometimes at very vulnerable times in their lives. You will be responsible for ensuring all our customers receive high standards of care in our very busy office.


You will work flexibly as a member of the team to meet the needs of our customers by providing information, issuing certificates, registering births and deaths, taking notices of marriage and civil partnership, and performing and registering marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.


Good IT skills are essential, as well as being calm and adaptable, and able to maintain expected standards even when under pressure.


Alongside on the job training, you will also be supported to undertake the National Vocational Qualification for Registrars


This is a full time, face-to-face, office-based role, 37 hours, to be worked 5 days out of 6, Monday to Saturday. There may be the possibility for some homeworking depending on service needs.
