Role -- Dev/Research Engineer

Location - Mossville, IL/Houston, TX (onsite)

Duration - Fulltime

Salary: $80K -$85K

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop control system application hardware and software requirements for marine powertrains.

• Support software & hardware development by clarifying requirements and leading mitigation actions as necessary.

• Develop software unit test requirement specifications, software verification specification and validation plan

• Execute unit test, verification test and validation test of marine controls software (integrated testing with engine, panels and displays)

• Support and/or Lead design reviews, deep dives and GWs for NPI and CPI projects

• Contribute to the design of new software features/functionality

• Collaborate with and support other engineers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliers.

Skills:

• Experience with Embedded software testing in open loop and closed loop

• Experience making harness and test bench hardware changes as necessary to execute tests

• Experience with CANape and other Vector tools

• Highly organized person with proven analytical / electronic troubleshooting skills

• Team player able to work with internal/external suppliers and prioritize multi tasks & priorities

• Up to 10% domestic and some international travel (valid passport & driver’s license required)

• Some Weekend Travel may be required

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Electrical / Electronics / Embedded Controls Engineering or equivalent

• 2-4 years of relevant software requirements definition and validation work experience

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
