Job Title: Part-time Day & Night Area Manager

Area: Richmond

Hours: 25+ hours a week

Pay: $15/hour plus allowances and bonuses

JOB SUMMARY:

Employees in this position supervise and manage cleaning crew staff, their activities/duties, and schedules in a designated area or territory. This position provides direction to front line cleaning crew members and team leads with the following tasks/duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates with interviews, selects, and assigns cleaning schedule/accounts to new cleaning crew members in designated territory/area.
  • Evaluates and verifies cleaning crew staff’s performance through the review of completed shifts/inspections. Provides direction on found conditions and methods of correction.
  • Identifies staff development and ongoing training needs on each cleaning crew member in designated territory/area.
  • Investigates customer service issues with on-sight evaluation of account and reports resolution to Operations Manager.
  • Keeps inventory of supplies and equipment needs of each account as well as in warehouse.
  • Inspects equipment and makes minor repairs.
  • Trains cleaning crew staff on the proper cleaning methods used by Office Pride, the use of the equipment, and Office Pride safety procedures.
  • Ensures all accounts are covered and cleaned on daily/nightly basis by cleaning and floater staff at scheduled times.
  • Responsible for all “open” accounts not covered by cleaning crew members, providing cleaning as needed.
  • Responsible for “New” account start-ups, providing supplies and equipment.
  • Builds relationship with account contacts.
  • Builds relationship with front line employees (cleaning crew members) and models Office Pride values.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

DAILY/NIGHTLY DUTIES:

  • Secures all jobs/accounts, making sure all are covered and cleaned in territory/area. Responsible for cleaning all open jobs not covered by other cleaning staff in territory/area.
  • Responds to and follows up on emails, texts, and phone calls from cleaning staff, internal office staff, and customers.
  • Addresses cleaning staff issues, call offs and “no shows” and coordinating schedules.
  • Provides mentorship to cleaning crew members.
  • Responds to customer complaints/issues with appropriate response, on-sight evaluation, and personal meeting/conversation with cleaning crew member(s).
  • Follows up with each customer issue until resolution.
  • Touch base with cleaning staff either by phone, text, email or meeting.
  • Provides updates and notes to Operations Manager.

WEEKLY DUTIES:

  • Coordinates meeting with team lead and floaters to discuss weekly schedules.
  • Delivers supplies to territory/area accounts.
  • Performs interviews and outside orientations as needed.
  • Conducts new employee training as needed.

MONTHLY DUTIES:

  • Visits accounts with “high needs”. Provides inspections to check windows, carpets, etc. to see if quotes are needed.
  • Meet with Team Leads/floaters providing encouragement and ongoing relationship building.

YEARLY DUTIES:

  • Performs employee reviews for cleaning crew/floater members and team leads in territory/area.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $15.00 per hour

Education:

Experience:

  • Commercial cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)
