Job description
Facilates the conduct of clinical research by performing research an dclinically related duties while monitoring the health and responses of the subjects. Administers investigational therapies and delivers care within the scope of nursing practice and in compliance with institutional clincal research policies and appropriate regulations, including FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and OHRP (Office of Human Research Protections) Actual skills and responsibilities may vary according to the specific requirements of the research protocol.
- Associate, Diploma or Bachelor of Science of Nursing degree required
- Current Nursing license registered in the State of Indiana
- 2 years experience in field of speciality – Oncology
- Must be certified or achieve certification within 6 months of eligibility for the Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
- International Air Transport Association (iata). Certification required within six months fo hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 2 years research related experience preferred
- Working knowledge of FDA and OHRP regulations related to research and good Clincial Practice Guidelines – if previous experience
- Knowledge of experimental design, statistics, etc. if previous experience
- Must be certified or achieve certification within 6 months of eligibility for the certified clinical research coordinator (CCRC) by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals
- Possess strong computer skills
- Experience with EMRs, EPIC experience a plus
- Knowledge of experimental design, statistics, etc
- Demonstrates effective communication skills and ability to interact with people
- Valid drivers license and automobile insurance to travel to various sites
