Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager Med Surg is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.

What qualifications you will need:

Certification/Licensure:

• Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License required
• BLS – Healthcare provide on hire (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS Certification on transfer or hire into department- or within six (6) months from transfer or hire required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification must be complete within 90 days of hire required
• Education: BSN preferred, Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
• Experience: 2+ years of experience acute care nursing required, med surg experience highly preferred; 1+ years of supervisory/leadership experience required

#FTEs: Around 50Culture of the facility/unit: very busy department but with strong and stable leadershipThe candidate being considered MUST have experience in an ACUTE CARE setting and stable work history. Acute Care experience should include Med-Surg experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
