Job Description
JOB TITLE: RSVP Assistant Project Coordinator
SPONSORING ORGANIZATION: Care Connection for Aging Services
PROGRAM: RSVP of Benton, Henry, Hickory, Cedar, Johnson, and St. Clair Counties
REPORTS TO: RSVP Coordinator
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
The RSVP Assistant Project Coordinator provides administrative support for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Promotes the Care Connection mission statement to provide opportunities to create positive aging experiences.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Maintain program records; maintain volunteer database in volunteer software program and provide grant support as needed.
- Assist in the organization and coordination of RSVP meetings and events.
- Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to: data entry, photocopying, faxing, mailing, internet research and filing.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster strong partnerships and positive relationships with the local community to create visibility and understanding of issues and programs offered through the agency.
- Ensure that accurate, required documentation is maintained and timely reports are provided to ensure accountable performance-based outcomes of activities by the project.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES:
Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in both oral and written form in the language of the work location. Must relate to older adults and their needs, interests, and physical conditions. Must be familiar with computer programs.
Experience: Should have experience in general office responsibilities and procedures. Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines. Have knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management and organization. Ability to work well alone or as part of a team.
Travel: Requires moderate amounts of travel in and out of district. Must have current motor vehicle operator’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Physical: Moderate physical activity required. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs. Requires ability to operate motor vehicle. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Subject to repetitive motions such as typing. Job requires extensive communication skills which include the ability to hear so that verbal communication can be received, understood and acted upon. Requires the ability to see clearly printed material, and to see objects at a far distance. Job requires extensive use of computer, necessitating use of fingers in a coordinated manner.
Legal: Candidate must agree to be screened for inclusion on the Missouri Department of Health Family Care Safety Registry, national criminal background check, and national sex offender registry.

Pay: $14.30 per hour
