The East Central Health District is the lead agency entrusted by the people of the state of Georgia with the ultimate responsibility for the health of communities and the entire population.
The agency is seeking a positive, growth minded Director for the HIV program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build a positive, outcome focused team culture that promotes patient centered care
  • Promote shared Public Health mission with all of our clinical partners in the area
  • Lead the medical team in providing current, best practice care for our HIV patients across the full spectrum of care, from PreP to ongoing management of care.
  • Set aspirational, achievable goals for growth in patients served, through quality, accessible care, outreach, and community relationship building
  • Oversee and guide clinical care provided by the medical team
  • Promote ongoing learning and current care for the team
  • Engage in quality assurance and review practices routinely
  • Collaborate with other Health Department clinical efforts and work
  • Engage in community outreach and marketing campaigns to promote quality HIV care
  • Participate in community boards and advocate for HIV care and access
  • Provide media presence when needed to promote efforts to advance health for all

Minimum Qualifications

MD/DO or DNP with HIV care certification and minimum of 3 years of experience in caring for this population.

Preferred Qualifications:
Some leadership experience and teamwork/building experience

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
