We are looking for a self-starting, highly agile individual who works well in a small team environment where a premium is placed on self-reliance. Successful candidates must be analytical, possess an aptitude towards both adapting and refining existing processes.
This multi-faceted role collaborates often with Sales, Sourcing, Design, and the exec team on projects and activities with daily/weekly communication cadence.
This role aligns with someone who thrives in a fast paced, small team devoid of big corporate politics. Focus is on self-led accomplishment with real, visible contribution - not artificial big-corp. directives.
This is a hybrid remote position - Approx 60% work-from-home with periodic travel to Chicago (Lincoln Park Office); and the NW Chicago suburbs. Occasional other domestic travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Perform daily sales order review, allocation, and processing in coordination with 3rd party fulfillment partner.
- Manage and prepare demand plan to ensure balanced inventory replenishment stock levels.
- Prepare and process purchase orders for goods and work directly with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders in scheduling, importation, and clearance process.
- Monitor and manage inbound and outbound shipments, expenses, compliance for international and domestic freight and small parcel carriers.
- Regularly liaise and coordinate between retail channel and internal team.
- Manage retail disputes and chargebacks.
- Support sales enablement, channel planning, pricing maintenance, product compatibility documents, reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by mgmt.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in sales operations, sales support, supply chain, order fulfillment management.
- High level of comfort and proficiency with automated ERP platforms and processes.
- Category experience in consumer goods landscape and/or with retail distribution is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of import processes, freight, tariffs is a plus is a plus
- Knowledge of dynamics with China based suppliers, audit, and compliance programs is a plus.
- Excellent interaction skills with a strong desire to go above and beyond in exceeding expectations.
- Communicate effectively-verbally/written with inherent courtesy and professionalism.
- Ability to express ideas and thoughts thoroughly and convey information clearly and positively.
- Bachelor’s degree is a strong preference.

- Demonstrated ability to structure and manage time, particularly in an independent work environment.
- High level of proficiency with MS Office apps (especially Excel). Strong tech/PC aptitude will be pre-evaluated.

- Problem solver - able to identify and resolve issues quickly and develop alternative solutions skillfully.
