Position: SAP Business Analyst II

Location: Hybrid Role – on site in Newark, DE a minimum of 2-3 times per week

What you’ll be working on…

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business users to gather and document business requirements for SAP IS Utilities implementation projects, including understanding business processes, identifying pain points, and defining desired outcomes.
  • Solution Design: Analyze business requirements and design SAP IS Utilities solutions to meet the needs of the business. This may include configuration of SAP IS Utilities modules, designing new business processes, and creating functional specifications for custom developments.
  • System Configuration: Configure SAP IS Utilities modules according to business requirements, including but not limited to, meter management, billing and invoicing, customer service, and energy data management. Ensure proper testing and validation of the configured solution.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans, conduct system testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the SAP IS Utilities solution meets business requirements and resolves any defects or issues identified.
  • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user guides. Conduct end-user training sessions and provide post-go-live support to ensure smooth adoption of the SAP IS Utilities solution.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, IT teams, and external vendors, to ensure successful implementation of SAP IS Utilities solutions. Provide ongoing support and expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise post-implementation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of SAP IS Utilities solutions and identify opportunities for improvement. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in the utilities industry, and proactively recommend enhancements to optimize business processes and systems.

Who you are...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5 plus years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant, with a focus on SAP IS Utilities implementation or support.
  • Strong knowledge of utilities business processes, including customer management, metering, billing, and invoicing.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP IS Utilities modules, such as CS (Customer Service), Device Management, Billing, and Invoicing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, business users, and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Experience leading and supervising one or more work streams (areas)
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA Cloud is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in SAP IS Utilities or related areas is a plus.
  • Programming / development and database experience is plus
