Role and Responsibilities:
Planning and Preparation:
  • Maintain daily classroom design and schedule
  • Implement Core Knowledge ELA and Envisions Math
  • Tailor lesson plans to individual learners and make adjustments based on formative assessment results

Classroom Environment:
  • Utilize Positive Behavior Interventions within the classroom to support students
  • Arrange for small group learning stations to address a variety of learning styles
  • SEL Curriculum into classroom culture
  • Present a warm and energetic personality

Engaging Students in Learning:
  • Plan and ask rigorous questions using the Depth of Knowledge Chart
  • Use SEI strategies to support students’ language acquisition
  • Intentionally plan for student collaboration and opportunities for dialogue
  • Utilize data to create targeted intervention groups

Professional Practice:
  • Attend and participate in weekly professional learning communities and team time as well as individual coaching
  • Possess a growth mindset when it comes to engaging with relevant and mission-driven professional learning
  • Attend and conduct parent-teacher conferences each school year (Fall and Spring)
  • Participate in IEP, 504, and RtII meetings, when necessary
  • Participate in Family Engagement events/outreach
  • Partner with families to develop strong home-to-school connections
  • Participate in the assigned morning, and afternoon duties
  • Support, enforce, and adhere to all school policies and procedures
