Access Control Technician

Tek One Solutions, is seeking an Access Control Technician to install and service commercial security, access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

Job Responsibilities:

· Install, troubleshoot, repair, and configure/program access control, security, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television, camera systems, fire and other various security related systems.

· Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots, re-configures, and tests equipment and devices associated and repairs as necessary.

· Assists on installation projects as needed.

· Performs service tasks required to fulfill service requirements.

· Read and understand drawings and prints to install the correct equipment in the correct locations.

· Be a TEAM player

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

· Preferred to have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices.

· Must be able to read technical documents, drawings and prints.

· Working knowledge of the NEC and electrical/electronic calculations.

· 2+ years working in electronics, basic electric circuit troubleshooting (working knowledge of Ohms law).

· Electronics and troubleshooting skills required.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Must be able to climb ladders and carry a backpack of 50+ pounds unassisted.

Travel – 20% (not a lot of overnight travel, but the service area has a wide range – 250 square miles).

A company vehicle will be provided, with a company credit card, cell phone, and some tools (some tools will need to be provided by the employee). We also pay for all necessary training and certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Experience:

• Access Control: 3 years (Required)
• Low Voltage Cabling: 3 years (Required)
• CCTV: 3 years (Required)
• mag lock install: 1 year (Required)
