Senior Agile Coach

We are looking for aSeniorAgileCoachto join our enthusiastic team ofcoaches within Product and Technology at Expedia Group.


You will fosterAgileawareness, mindset and capability across the subdvisions/functional area/s as well as educate leaders on how Agility can benefit the organization and our partners. You will driveAgileinitiatives to improve business outcomes to support Expedia Group focus areas.

We need someone that will help to drive forward our Agile strategy. You’ll have the passion, drive, enthusiasm, tact and influence essential to make it a reality!

What you’ll do:

AgilePractitioner

  • Demonstrate a breadth and depth ofAgileknowledge, stays on current trends, and share them with others

  • Ability to recognize areas for improvement at every level of the org, tailorAgile approaches/initiativesand plan rollouts accordingly

  • Use organizational change approaches to foster effective and long-lasting change

  • Use techniques and knowledge of systems thinking,Agile, and influencing others

Agile experience

  • Act in a consulting capacity at both the org and team level

  • Assess and make recommendations of areas of improvement at the team and org levels to create sustainable pace and processes that enable iterative delivery

  • Strengthen ability of teams to adapt and pivot to changing requirements and drive continuous improvement

  • Establish working relationships and rapport with stakeholders to become a trusted advisor

  • Partner with the business to understand and ensure connection to overarching strategy and program and ensures prioritization is in line with the strategy.

Process improvement

  • Foster close collaboration between Tech and Product functions, with customers and with related teams and orgs

  • Uses metrics and leads team/orgs to use metrics to highlight improvement areas and track improvement actions over time

  • Work with teams and orgs to make progress and pace visible and inform plan and roadmap adjustments

  • Identifies and assesses end-to-end value chains beyond individual teams or groups

  • Visualizes impediments to flow within the end-to-end value chain and makes recommendations for improvements and supports implementing improvements

Relationship improvement

  • Builds cohesion and removes friction across the org and teams

  • Facilitates close collaboration between Tech and Product functions

  • Facilitates close collaboration with customers

  • Facilitates collaboration with related teams and orgs

Systems Thinking

  • Take a whole systems approach to analyze issues and recommend solutions

  • Evaluate existing metrics in and across systems to identify & implement improvements

  • Use data/analytics to highlight trends/patterns and anti-patterns


Communication

  • Proactively guide leadership on organizational design and initiatives which may impact at the team or individual level or may adversely affect agility

  • Promote visibility and clarity across the organization

  • Network to build contacts, supporters, and allies

  • Proactively contributes to and encourages cross-team collaboration

Mentoring &Coaching

  • Offercoaching, mentoring and guidance at all levels to ensure the delivery of value from the people, product, and organization perspective

  • Cultivate a continuous learning culture throughout the organization

  • Identify commonAgileknowledge gaps and design training programs to address them

Facilitation

  • Apply different approaches for participatory decision making

  • Design engaging sessions that help groups reach consensus with valuable, pragmatic outcomes

  • Outstanding communication, organization, and team building skills; articulate and able to steer a meeting with presence

  • Ability to understand technical issues at a high level

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $161,500 to $ 226,000 Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $258,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
