In 2019 Webhelp launched a programme dedicated to bringing our service portfolio to start-ups and scale-ups across France. In 2021, we brought The Nest by Webhelp to 9 countries across Europe including the UK and in 2022 to LATAM and the US. We are now on the hunt to find a driven Business Director to head up our program in the UK Market.

This role is for you if you’re are entrepreneurial by nature and thrive on working with early stage businesses supporting their growth. You’ll also be able to empathise deeply with start-ups and scale-ups, understanding their challenges and how the Nest by Webhelp can solve them.

As The Nest Senior Business Development Director, you’ll be strategic in your networking and relationship building, developing the best sales strategy for the UK market, building a multi-industry pipeline and managing it with both an inbound and outbound approach to sales.

What you’ll be doing

  • Being the face and voice of The Nest by Webhelp in the UK market, developing a wide network within the local startup ecosystem (from startups to venture capital funds), increasing our brand awareness and becoming the trusted partner of successful startups and scale-ups
  • Developing our sales in this market, working in partnership with clients to boost their growth and improve their CX or sales performance. Sophisticated relationship management will be pivotal in being able to act as a mentor and consultant for startups
  • Creating both agile and targeted strategies to develop opportunities for prospective targets
  • Developing accurate market analysis/mapping strategies of the start-up marketplace, enabling result driven networking
  • Identifying, qualifying, developing and closing key opportunities within the accounts across both upsell (more of the same) and cross sell (alternative services) category of revenues
  • Providing start-ups with consultancy, support and mentoring from Webhelp experts
  • Managing new logo sales development to deliver the growth business plans
  • Being accountable for the P&L, budget and sales/account planning
  • Working with the local Marketing Teams to roll out the programme including external communications, fairs, dedicated content, events and workshops
  • Working with the Operations Manager and Production Teams to ensure proper integration, implementation, and compliance with the levels of operational services expected by our clients

What you’ll need

  • A good network in the UK startup ecosystem is essential, with a proven track record of building new credible and successful relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate successful experience in a business development, venture capital, sales, or consulting role
  • A passion for tech and startup environment, with a good understanding of startups growth challenges
  • High degree of autonomy, drive, and energy
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Experience across multi sectors is a plus
  • Be a team player and able to interact confidently and credibly to influence senior client executives
  • Be an analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives to all colleagues to achieve organizational goals
  • Have strong client relationship and partnering skills and excellent commercial/business judgement
