BECOME PART OF OUR FAMILY

SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT

At Springfield Healthcare, we like to think of ourselves as one big family. From the residents we care for to every member of our team, our social care heroes.

We've been providing exceptional care in beautiful residential settings for over 50 years - and with a growing portfolio of care homes and care villages, we're looking for an outstanding Senior Care Assistant to join us.

About the Role

Working together with - and directed by - the Deputy Manager, our Senior Care Assistants are the heart of our homes. By helping us deliver the highest quality care, you'll enhance every day for our residents. And like us, you'll always want to do the best you can and constantly look for ways to improve. You will:

  • Inspire and motivate your care team and other staff in all aspects of the day-to-day home activities
  • Lead by example, setting the pace and the standard
  • Praise and recognise good performance
  • Be able to challenge poor performance and report problems to the Home Manager
  • Promote the company ethos of quality care delivery and strive towards recognition from awarding bodies and outside agencies
  • Take care of Resident of the Day audit including a full 'white file check' of all relevant paperwork
  • Mentor and peer supervise care staff, completing relevant records
  • Support and assess new staff post-induction, and support the trainer with care certificate competencies

About You
You're an inspiring and motivating leader, who strives to set and maintain high standards.
You work on your own initiative to manage problems and have the confidence to challenge and raise issues.
You're meticulous when it comes to updating paperwork - in terms of resident records.
Naturally, you're a caring person, and the kind who notices the little things that make a big difference to other people.

You're a team player, who's outstanding in your own field with bucket loads of respect for your colleagues.

About Us

Our homes provide exceptional, kind and compassionate care in beautiful surroundings, in the heart of communities. We offer an impressive choice of care services for a wide range of age groups, with modern nursing, residential and dementia care and support, as well as respite breaks within the majority of our homes.

All our bedrooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated. Our dining rooms and restaurants serve delicious and nutritionally balanced, award winning meals.

Our activities programmes are exceptional and tailored to our residents from walking clubs, to round the world themed days, technology based fun or baking. We also use the sparkles scheme to ensure even the most unusual hobbies can be supported.

The skills and experience of our team members means that we can offer homes that are beautiful to live in, operated professionally, and provide very high standards of care.

Springfield Healthcare Group was founded by our CEO, Graeme Lee. Graeme grew up in our Garforth Care Home, which was owned and run by his parents. Since taking the reins in 1994 the company has grown substantially and always with our residents at the heart of every decision.

Everyone is important and at Springfield we all treat each other as we would like to be treated ourselves. If this sounds like the kind of place you’d like to work then apply now online! You could be working in a great place with great people in no time at all.

Rewards and Benefits
We commit to making your time with us happy and fulfilling and we will offer you the opportunity to work in a vibrant and friendly atmosphere where you will be supported to develop both personally and professionally.

Here at Springfield the wellbeing of our staff is a priority, and we also understand that the cost of living is having an impact on us all. So, we’re proud to offer an exceptional package of benefits to help support your health and finances. Our healthcare plan and discount card combine to offer you 24/7 access to doctors and counsellors, cashback on prescriptions, eye care, dental care and more, plus discounts at 100s of well-known high-street stores.
