Position Summary
Manage team of digital experience designers. Possess a deep understanding of digital and continually research the latest design trends and their role in the retail environment. Understand the Kroger brand, and how to maximize its reach in digital. Partner closely with key stakeholders to design customer experiences that enhance brand awareness and drive sales. Essential Job Functions
- Manage brand rules and standards for channel (as part of master brand)
- Lead ideation and concept work
- Serve as channel subject matter expert demonstrating knowledge on trends and best practices
- Lead digital experience designers and partner with key stakeholders to design customer experiences that enhance brand awareness and drive sales
- Set standards for the design processes that maximize efficiency and consistency
- Partner closely with digital experience planner to manage team workload and ensure that projects are delivered on-brand and on-schedule
- Plan and facilitate brainstorming activities with multi-disciplinary teams
- Create high and low fidelity prototypes
- Collaborate on digital experience, design concepts, storyboards and other creative assets to drive customer engagement and online sales
- Serve as an advocate for collaboration and assist other team members on assignments
- Apply standards from design systems and/or brand guidelines, and contribute to design systems
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Travel to local campuses and to attend company meetings
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Digital Design or related field
- Experience leading or mentoring design team
- Advanced skills using design and authoring tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, Sketch
- In-depth understanding of digital design; knowledge of latest design trends and their role in the retail environment
- Ability to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Portfolio demonstrating previous experience in digital design and problem-solving
- Ability to execute deliberate, data-driven design decisions
Desired Previous Experience/Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in retail or related field
